Langtang Gosainkunda Helambu Trek is located on the Langtang valley situated north of Kathmandu close to the Tibetan border which is easily approachable high sanctuary from the capital. Trekking in the Langtang Valley combines the remote and stupendous valley of Langtang, with the high mountain lakes at Gosainkund and the wonderful Helambu Valley.

Langtang Gosainkunda Helambu Trek takes you to the Langtang valley is encased by snow-capped mountains which come full circle in the top of Langtang Lirung at an elevation of 7246m. The best approach to Gosaikunda passes through the Langtang National Park thus we have high possibility of viewing numerous fascinating wildlife. Most of the Langtang Region is forested with rhododendron, oak, maple, alder, Larch and many others.

There are several conceivable trails to choose from depending on preference and time availability. The Langtang Valley is easily approached from Dhunche which takes just a day’s drive from Kathmandu. The track leads to Kyangjin via valley of Langshisa, Yala peak and Tsero, Ri that consists of small gompa and cheese factory at an elevation of 3,740 m. We will visit Yala Cheese Factory and small lakes beyond Yala which can be reached within half a day from Kyangjin Gompa. We can have the amazing views of numerous glaciers from Kyangjin Gompa at an elevation of 4.084m. Tamang and Sherpa people are the natives of the Langtang Region which follows Buddhism and herds yak and sheep to earn their livelihood. We will have enough time to explore the head of the valley and finally ascend past the holy lakes of Gosaikunda to enter Helambu crossing Laurebina Pass at an elevation of 4610m.

Arrive at Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA) Kathmandu, you are welcomed by hospitable meeting and then you will be transferred to hotel. Our airport representative will explain briefly the program.

Day 2 : Morning after breakfast drive to Sybru Bensi ( 1462m/ 4796ft) by private Jeep or Public bus

Today our journey to the starting point of the Langtang Valley Trek begins with a scenic 7-8 hour bus ride from Kathmandu. As we follow the Trisuli River, keep an eye out for adventurous white water rafters. But don't forget to also look up, as the majestic mountains welcome us on our journey. As we reach Trisuli Bazaar, the Manaslu Massif, Ganesh, Jungal Himal, and Langtang stand tall in the distance.

As the road gets bumpier, be prepared for a bit of a rough ride. We'll travel around 50 km/31 miles to Dhunche and then another 15 km/9 miles to reach our destination for the night, Syabrubesi. We'll rest here for the night before beginning our trek in earnest the following day.

Day 3 : Trek from sybru Besi to Lama Hotel ( 2500m/82ft) walk about 6hrs.

After breakfast, we will embark on a 6 to 7-hour trek to Lama Hotel where we will be staying at a Tea House. The trek will take us through a magnificent forest with Langtang Lirung providing a stunning backdrop. As we approach Ghora Tabela, we will enter lush green meadows and witness the Langtang Range stretching out on both sides of the valley. The valley will gradually widen, and we will come across herders grazing their livestock on the high summer pastures.

Unfortunately, the once-bustling village of Langtang, which used to have many trekkers' tea houses, is now reduced to only temporary settlements and an army post following the 2015 earthquake. However, we will continue our trek for another half an hour and reach the comfortable village of Mundu, which has more modern buildings and facilities. We will spend the night there, surrounded by the scenic beauty of the area.

Day 4 : Trek from Lama Hotel to Langtang Village ( 3307m / 10847ft ) walk about 5hrs.

After Breakfast, we will trek for 6 to 7 hours from Lama Hotel to Mundu via Langtang Village, where we will be staying at a Tea House. The trek will take us through a forest, and after a 3-hour hike, we will reach Ghoretable, which is a horse stable. Continuing on, we will reach Langtang Village, which was destroyed in the 2015 earthquake but has since been rebuilt.

We will have the option to stay in Langtang Village or proceed to Mundu, which is the next stop from Langtang Village. Along the way, we will be treated to glorious views of Langtang and Gonchompe. Despite the earthquake's devastation, the Langtang Village community has made a remarkable recovery, with the presence of a community health post, government schools, small markets, and monasteries that help to sustain the village's thriving atmosphere.

Day 5 : Trek from Langtang Village to Kyanjin Gompa (3798m / 12458 ft) Walk about 4hrs.

After breakfast, we will trek for 3 hours from Langtang Village to Kyanjin Gompa, where we will be staying at a Tea House. The route is shorter today, but it offers a wealth of Buddhist artifacts, such as chortens, prayer flags, and rocks inscribed with Buddhist symbols. Additionally, we will see watermills and yak pastures along the way, making for an interesting journey. Of course, the mountain views will also be breathtaking.

Upon reaching Kyanjin Gompa by lunchtime, we will have the option of relaxing or exploring the area. For those feeling adventurous, hiking towards Langshisha Kharka offers stunning views of the area. We will spend the night at the gompa, surrounded by its spiritual aura and the beautiful mountains.

Day 6 : Kyangjin Gompa - Explore Tserko Ri (5,000m) (16,404ft) 3-4hrs hiking.

Early morning, we will embark on an exciting but challenging trek from Kyanjin Gompa to Tserko Ri and back, where we will be staying at a Tea House. The trek will take us 7 to 8 hours and will involve a steep ascent up to an altitude of 5,000m (16,404ft).

From the summit of Tserko Ri, we will be rewarded with breathtaking views of over 20 peaks, the Langtang Valley, and frozen lakes. The hike may be difficult, but the stunning scenery and exhilarating experience make it all worth it.

After taking in the spectacular views, we will return to Kyanjin Gompa for a second night and enjoy a well-deserved dinner.

Day 7 : Trek Kyangjin Gompa to Lama Hotel (2250 / 7380 ft) walk about 6hrs.

After breakfast, we will be retracing our steps back to Lama Hotel, where we will be staying at a Tea House. The trek will take us 6 to 7 hours and will involve crossing streams and hiking through beautiful forests.

After the previous day's challenging trek up to Tserko Ri, today's hike will be a bit more relaxing, allowing us to enjoy the peaceful surroundings and take a break from the rigorous exercise. We will spend the night at Lama Hotel, recharging our energy for the rest of the journey.

Day 8 : Trek from Lama Hotel to Thulo sybru ( 3250m / 10660 ft) walk about 6hrs.

Starting from Lama Hotel, your trek commences with a brief uphill climb towards the village of Rimche, passing through serene bamboo forests. As you make your way across the Langtang river, gradually descending, you will eventually arrive at the Bamboo village. Continuing onward, a steady walk will lead you to the summit of the ridge, treating you to an awe-inspiring view of Thulo Syabru valley. From there, you will gently descend and cross a bridge.

Afterwards, you will embark on one final ascent, traversing terraced fields and quaint farmhouses, until you reach the charming hamlet of Thulo Syabru. During your stay here, take the opportunity to explore a nearby monastery, and don't miss the small helipad in the vicinity.

You will spend the night in Thulo Syabru, resting and preparing for the next leg of your trek.

Day 9 : Trek from Thulo Syabru to Singh Gompa (3330m / 10923ft) walk about 6hrs.

The Langtang Valley trek traditionally concludes at Syabru village. However, for those seeking a more adventurous path, an extension to Gosaikunda awaits. Embarking on this additional journey, trekkers head towards Singh Gompa after a satisfying meal. The trail ascends steeply, leading to a captivating stupa that provides a panoramic view of Thurman and Nagthali in the distance.

Continuing the trek for several hours, hikers eventually arrive at Forpang Danda, a perfect spot to pause and enjoy a hearty lunch. Energized after the meal, they forge ahead, following a winding trail that meanders through the dense forest.

The path is adorned with vibrant, blooming flowers, enhancing the trail's natural beauty. With each step, the trek takes a gentle ascent, eventually leading to Singh Gompa.

The sight of majestic mountains in the background is awe-inspiring. Singh Gompa offers enchanting views of valleys and landscapes, creating a truly marvelous experience for the trekkers.

Day 10 : Trek from Singh Gompa to Gosainkunda (4380m / 14367ft) hike about 5-6hrs.

Today marks another thrilling day of trekking as you venture towards the stunning turquoise lake. The journey from Singh Gompa to Gosaikunda Lake is relatively short and easy, promising a delightful experience.

The trek commences with a leisurely ascent through a vibrant forest, where glimpses of majestic mountains peek through the foliage. After trekking for an hour or two, you arrive at Cholongpat, a perfect spot to enjoy a hearty breakfast.

Continuing your ascent for another hour, you reach the pinnacle of Lauribina, offering an exotic view of Ganesh Himal. From there, the path steepens, leading you through high fields and across a ridge, granting you the first enchanting sight of the lakes.

Pressing forward with determination, the trails guide you to Gosaikunda village. Here, you take a well-deserved break, allowing your legs to rest after the day's adventure.

Starting from Kutumsang, our trek involves an initial ascent followed by a descent to the charming Gul Bhanjyang Village at 2140m. From there, we ascend once more, reaching a dusty, expansive road at Thorong Danda (2500m). Continuing on a steep and rocky path, we make our way to the scenic Chipping village.

Descending steadily, we arrive at Pati Bhanjyang (1760m), a village nestled between Chipping and Chisopani. After a brief half-hour walk from here, we finally reach Chisopani, renowned for its breathtaking panoramic views of numerous mountains.
